Archimedes was one of the famous scientists in ancient Greece. He is believed to have lived from BC 287 to 212. He made many unparalleled discoveries and inventions in Physics and Astronomy besides Mathematics. During BC 214 to 212, when the Roman soldiers attacked his town Syracuse, it is said that he burnt their ships focusing sunrays on them using a large concave mirror.
